Shinya Shokudo- edited

Dongwan blogged about this JDrama series. Very nice, I'm watching it bit by bit and digesting all the little details, and also the recipes. Very nice watch! About a little 'restaurant' that opens from midnight till morning, and all the characters with their stories in it. I've taken quite a liking to the 'master' of the Shokudo... probably because he looks a bit like my ex-boss :)

Shinya Shokudo! - The 10-ep Drama (about 25 min each ep) that makes me feel nostalgic and hungry at the same time.Love the last part where they give helpful tips to cook dishes featured in each ep!

Also got to watch 'The Big Bang Theory' this afternoon. Have to admit, it really is funny. I'll watch it as soon as I finish Shinya Shokudo. Or I'll just buy the dvd and keep it for a long time then watch it all when I'm finally free from books and papers :)

Which is er... maybe never? :P

Working tml yo! UK exhibition! Busy bee! Sleeping!

Shinya Shokudo's OST (and other songs by the same singer) dl link here.

Fuyoh!- edited

For some reason, this catch-phrase "Fuyoh" keeps popping out in my head randomly, in random places at random times. Must be because I'm in Malaysia. Fuyoh's meaning was physically demonstrated by my lame brother, and I find it very typical Malaysian.

Apparently, Fuyoh is an expression of comic shock or surprise at something. Also, it is not really pronounced as 'Fu-yoh' , more like 'Hoo-yoh'.

I suppose this 'catch phrase' is not exactly new. I have heard it being used several times before, by aunts, cousins and friends who speak dialects such as FooChow and Hakka :)

---------------

I met my cousin's kid yesterday, glad he remembered who I am :) Still cute, but getting craftier and craftier. I attribute this to the mom (just as crafty if not craftier!)

Happy that I got to watch Avatar just now too. The movie wasn't disappointing. I loved Neytiri's voice for some reason, even though she can be screeching annoying at times. The characters and movie plot is predictable, but somehow the effects made up for it. The scenery was breathtaking! Loved that carpet of forest that lights up when you trod on them, and the seeds that looks like jellyfish too! Now, if only we have seeds like that...

I'ma make do with waste stuff and make my room good too. Mpmh, decided. I have a habit of arousing my creative side whenever I watch pretty sceneries.

I wonder what other movies are there>..?

Ah, I had Prosperity burger (chicken) set meal from Mcd just now too.
Verdict: Damn too many pepper! Can die from overdose k? Don't eat if you're not a big fan of pepper (black and white both) The pepper sauce was dripping all over the burger bun, eww. I liked the curly fries though, and the refreshing coke (don't we all?)

p.s. My Xmas was not good, I hope I won't repeat the same mistake for New Year/ New Year's Eve..

clikity clack

This keyboard goes clack clack clack, its annoying

Anyway, Have a happy end of winter to all, remember to eat your round flour balls thingy. Yeap, the greeting will still hold symbolic meaning even if we do not have winter. Rainy season count ka? But it's still raining profusely over this part of the island. Yeap, profusely.

Anywa, Duma key by Stephen King is enjoyable, because I am still reading it. No doubt he will be the one writer who can send chills down my spine with just one sentence. hearts hearts hearts

My lappie can't keep in touch with the World Wide Web at the moment, so it's a sad affair for the Internet addict that I am. Still, I be thankful for the existing connection and desktop, otherwise, I'd feel so deprived :(

Hopes to watch Avatar soon, if not in cinema, I'll make it a point to buy a pirate. As the local vcd hawker says: Support piracy! Support me! Heck, the movie should be good, even DongWan is recommending it yo! Chyi@schyime, it was good right? Right.

And the shoe hawker will respond with: Here here! Buy one free one! Buy left shoe, free right shoe!

Great "-_- I learn creative taglines from the hawkers.

....

I can't sleep cause there's too many mosquitoes.
I have affinity for killing all mozzies before sleeping peacefully

I think I'm hungry
Not so evident, this hunger, because I had a Pizza-Hut tea
Then a movie, then some shopping before having a cuppa at your friendly malay stall.

The movie, it was nice
Reminded me of my visit to Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall in Taiwan 2 years ago. The story is quite moving too, considering how everyone in the movie had their own goals and dreams which they strive to achieve, even if they die in the process. For a greater cause I must say. Props to the actors, I see a lot of breakthrough for some.

What shall I do?- 'The question' that everyone is throwing around.
What will you do?- 'The question' that everyone is being asked.

I have no idea.

....................

You were right.
You were right on your guess.
Would you look down on me if I say, you were right?
I was, I have been, I am- lonely.

You know what they say?

I have no idea who they are.

Was reading this translated book of Ming n Qing Dynasty tales

One of them described a man who was so fearless that he can slay tigers with bare hands. Once, he went to a magistrate house to boast about his latest conquests. There was a cat that kept annoying the banquet, and the man set out to catch him. Not surprisingly, he can't do anything to that nimble cat.

The story ended with a note from the original author. And i quote:

When a man who can kill tigers is unable to conquer a cat, it is not because he is brave in the face of a formidable enemy nor because he is timid towards a lesser one. The reason is that he has adopted an incorrect approach. The tripod in which you cook an ox will not be suitable for cooking a small animal; a powerful crossbow can not be used to shoot a tiny mouse. Men of talent and ability should understand this and those in charge of choosing and appointing people should be even more aware of it.

As some might have guessed, the reason for this entry lies in the last sentence.

It's the 'habit' sickness acting up again :P By relating everything I read to all the theories I study C: The process of selecting and appointing a worker should be less rigid or focused on one area. There are loads that someone who can't do something can do. Why deny people a chance just because he can't do something mainstream? I'd love to have people with different ideas, it's what makes then unique C: Must consider every aspect (within cost-effective means) before placing someone on a job. Maybe internal recruitment is better then, because of how you can monitor someone over a long time and determine their ability to grow. But I won't mind getting new, fresh, expensive blood. All for the benefit of the masses? That said, I'm a very practical business person; let's just say I prefer profits over ethics ^-.-^~> Hiak hiak

By the way, the latest in Final Destination series.... I had only 2 thoughts while watching it last night:::

  1. Oh ewwwwwww
  2. Wow, this is a good video for Workplace Safety and Health

Still in Dream world

Chyi et al is enjoying a tour in the southern hemisphere!

The above sentence is typed out purely as a statement of fact. I have nothing more to elaborate on it o:)

Sleep is essential in my life nowadays. Snuggling up between covers in temp ranging from 10 to 15 degree Celsius. Waking up around noon. Do some laundry, clean some floors, watch tv, read some books, eat, then fall back for evening nap. Repeat process from 'watch tv' until midnight. My daily schedule. Most of the time.

With sleep comes dreams. I can't remember, but I know all the dreams are just plain weird. Got episodes some more, eesh.

I wonder how everyone else is doing?

Want to watch Ice Age 3 bad! ><

Want to get Ice Age 3 toys!

A picture saved from a fwd mail. It's interesting. Can you identify with any of the characters?

.

P.s. I've been listening to Zhang Dong Liang's new song in almost every cafe and kopitiam I visited lately. For some reason, the song sounds nicer when it's broadcasted in kopitiams ^^ very nolstagic feel. What's the name?

Johor days

Its been tiring.

Been to places like McD, Econsave, IOI mall, Pizza Hut, movies in the span of the 3 days I've been here. Oh, not to mention arcades too.

It's fun really, meeting the relatives, and the kiddies. And going shopping. I'm not buying anything though. Don't know what to buy yet really.

Much appreciation to my cuzzies who've been bringing me around. Even though, according to one of them, he won't be around me if he had a gf LOL. Still, he's a funny guy to be around. Ahhh, he turned from nerdy, geeky to cool and witty. How can that be? But he seems to have many bad things happening to him though. Disaster boy?

For e.g while playing arcade, he had a ball from the basketball machine he was playing at bounce back onto his head. Just as he was turning around to look for wherever the ball bounced away to!

Another instance: We went for steamboat just now (simply fulfilling!) and there were ice creams. He took 3 to eat. One of them, the Sarsi flavor, actually came sliding out of the package as he tried to protect the ice cream from my other cousin! We were quite surprised to find that the package has been cut off previously. Eee let's not think of the possibility that someone licked the stick then put it back into the package ehehe.

I'm pretty sure he inherited the funny, witty gene from his father haha.

Night in the museum was pretty good.

Gosh so tired now I can't think of anything else to type. Even forgetting my random thoughts from earlier on in the day.

HAPPY BELATED BDAY TO LINA!!!!!!

Movie- Unforgettable

Just finished another korean movie. When i'm supposed to be packing sheesh.

Unforgettable is a story focused on relationship between teacher and student. It's kinda touching. But somehow i felt that it is a really pretty jigsaw puzzle, but a few pieces of the puzzie went missing. It felt incomplete to me be be honest. Or maybe this was because i was watching using translations only.

I should start learning korean so i can understand more. Its even more infuriating when the translations are hazy and in unrelated sentences. Just like this movie i'm watching now.

Movie- Babo

A sad and heart warming movie, can it be both at the same time? But it wasn't bad, for me.

Cha tae hyeon was great in the movie. I have a small inkling feeling its because he look suited for his role haha. But i like the movie really. Warning to ppl who don like sad endings tho- don watch it.

Feel so tired after just watching one movie. I'm really wondering how some ppl can last a whole night sitting in front of tv screen.

The Matrix- RELOADED!(And revolutionised!)

updated 11.24pm

Just finished watching Matrix Revolution. The whole movie had me gripping knuckles and glued to my seat! Awesome! Know my darling will love these kind of movies. Must keep a mental note to ask him whether he's watched it or not.

Sure is cool, the movie. But I wouldn't want to live in a world like so. Would you?

Quote: 'Everything that has a beginning, has an end'

Awesome!

Song playing right now: SUJU- It's you (Dance ver)

_______________

*Pst, the term 'reloaded' sure is being put into good use :P I remember watching Saiyuki Reloaded or something. Reloaded= Sequel LOL

__________________________

Watching Matrix Reloaded now. It's awesome!
I remember watching this some years ago. Let's see, this came out in 2003, so I must have watched this around that time. Geez, didn't know how to appreciate this awesome artwork. Now I do :)

Neo is cool, Trinity is cool, the keymaker is cool, Morpheus is cool. Heck, even Smith is cool!

Keymaker: I know because I know, it's my purpose. It's the reason I'm here, it's the reason we're all here.

What's human? What's perfection? Gosh, if we know everything there is needed to know, then there won't be choices isn't it? 'Xeon will be destroyed for the sixth time, therefore we will have achieved efficiency'

'Hope, it is the quintessential human delusion, simultaneously the greatest strength and your greatest weakness.'

Weird guy with the French accent: 'Choice is an illusion created between those with power and those without.'

'There is only one constant, one universal, it is the only real clause. Causality. Action; reaction. Cause; effect.'

_________

I am definitely getting a kick out of repeating the complicated quotes from the movie :D

Hijau ialah merah jambu Baru

New sentence: Oops, this title reminds me of the malay tag thingy.

______________

This the last week to play before uni reopens. Not a bad holiday if I should say so myself.
Less pictures taken of course, busy working and everything ya know.

My brother had his 4th birthday last Saturday. This also reminds me that there's still some of that cake left in the fridge mmm... Monte Carlo from Sweet Deli, full of chocolatey goodness?

Some pictures of him posing with his Mr Bean :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO TEE WEE

His actual birthday is on 14th August, but we're celebrating early to avoid the 'Ghost month' in Lunar calendar. Which, coincidentally, is today hyuk

Secondly, I dyed my hair chocolate green. Loves it! But it doesn't show in pictures. Oh well. The color's fading also too. So I'm left with a kind of grimy brown color. Some say it looks like algae colour hehe. Looking on the bright side. At least no one else will dare to dye algae/ shit color ^^ So so, next time what color?

Purple maybe. Or maybe some outrageous pink, like that girl I saw around my office today. Woo, how much hair damage would that be?

First time uploading a video via blogger. Seriously wondering if this will work?

A video taken just now, my brother being cheeky haha.
