It;s getting late

So tired from all the assignments.
I've just made a note on all the due dates, they all due within days of each other!

Tired, but feeling like I've accomplished something.
Perhaps my body does not feel the same way, can;t say I've fully slept for the last 2 weeks.

What have I been doing while not sleeping?
I have no idea myself. Memory is getting worse and worse as I get less and less sleep :(

I need more time, especially in the mornings and afternoons

Speaking of time.
I had a tsunami of nostalgia while visiting Seri Soon Lee the other day (Duh, Eel Noos from Business Law) The smell, the place, the music, the people, gee.. even the veges! Took me back to around 10 years ago. When I would visit the place every weekend with my mom to buy veges. Where the chocolate section always grabs my attention. Where I met so many of my classmates. Where the stationery section is always interesting. Where I worked for a few months a few years ago.

How the place has changed. Yet, how the place hasn't changed

I've been listening to Shinhwa's songs a lot, it seems.
Weird how I'm not getting tired of all the songs. Prolly coz there's so many different types, and also prolly cause I don't understand what they're singing anyway. So it's perfect for listening while doing assignments.

Like right now :) Have a report to hand in approx 10 hrs from now, and I haven't even written 100 words. Ooops. Need 2900 more words. hmm...

I saw this picture just now from AbsolutShinhwa. Definitely makes my day, er, night :)

So heartwarming, these two. And I love Wannie's shooting style too. Captured at exactly the right moment =)

I should really get back to typing more content into my report.

But I can't resist looking at the picture a while longer.. It'll be sometime before I can see them together as 6. While other fans have had the luck to see them together while they were still active. I became a fan only after Eric and Wannie went into military service. Tough, but I'll wait and I'll make my way to Seoul when their 15th Anniversary concert comes.

Which reminds me...should I go to Mayday's concert in KL? So near.. yet so far

I hate it when a good song carries a bad memory with it.

Typing out my report. Thank goodness I have a broad idea on what to write. If not, I'd be crying my eyes out right about now. What a topic!

Should I start listening to not so good songs that has happier memories?

I might be mad, or just plain weird. Seems I can work more efficiently if there is anger or sadness. Gee...

By the way, any one wanna donate used medicines? Check Aidforaids out!
And I do not mean the medicine that you ate and processed through bowels ok? Don't take everything literally.

Youngins

Currently listening: Shinhwa- First Love

This song moves me to tears, jeongmal. Well, nearly anyway. It's so touching even if I don't know what the heck they're singing.

I've also just watched Andy's come back during Shinhwa 5th fanmeeting video. For SHCJ, First Love will be the mark of Andy's comeback then? Added meaning to the song I'd say. For the return of Shinhwa's little baby ^^

A lot of people setting up families now. FB shows a lot of kiddy and baby pictures. And happy family wedding pictures. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't moved.

It must be great to be with someone you love, and having a kid together too. (Of course, let's omit all the financial woes these people might face.) I like kids, not the potty part, the playing part haha!

I'm not really a romantic person by nature (jeongmal!) WYSIWYG from me. Pity the bf who has to bear with the lack of emotions. I doubt this kind of happy-family life is the life for me. There is still so much to do, so much to see in this world. But once in a while, I'd get somewhat tired and think: Ah, won't it be nice to have someone to talk to without any barriers, just cause s/he will be the person who understands you. Won't it be nice to have someone rely on you for once? Won't it be nice to be someone really important to another human being. To him, you'll be the world ^^

I like the lyrics in First Love. It reminds me of what I felt when going into relationships, at start. I once told a friend that I do not know what falling in love is, because I have never had strong emotions. I can't say I know now, but at least I feel a wee bit of emotion. Sigh I must be really cold blooded. When was my first love? Frankly, I don't remember, or I don't even know C:

P.s. Learning Korean on my own. Wait for me fluency!

Translation
Andy (Narration)
First love.
This song is dedicated to my one and only love.

DongWan (Verse One)
Can you see it?
Our love is still a little young and heavy.
Can you hear it? My quiet prayer.

HyeSung
My eyes and hands can all feel you.
How can I describe this kind of feeling?
You don't understand why I can
only smile foolishly, but when you see me, you will also smile... like a fool...

HyeSung (Chorus)
When I close my eyes, you come into my dreams.
I don't even want to part from you for a moment.
Let's wait
until the next morning arrives, and I will run to your side.
It doesn't matter how hard the wind blows or how
heavy it rains...

Rap One
With your beautiful voice, you open up my day...
just because of this, I can sleep peacefully (uh).
I especially
thank you for embracing me with your saintly heart.
It's all because of you, that this world has become

beautiful...

Eric (Rap Two)
Get ready girl, like I'm suppose to uh, pity the punk, supersprung, you bring the bomb, from collaborated, there be all about the bigger the figure, I trigger lyrics over the drum, I love you the most, beautiful, precious, first love; no one could ever prevent our love. I will protect you.

Verse One

The words that are lingering but because I could not say them, I sadly turned around. But from faraway you called upon me.
You had once said, "Even if you don't say it I already know".

We both took a picture together, and so that I could be with you everyday, I put it on a wall in my room.
I want
to hear your voice over the telephone line.

I cannot let it go, because this is the first time I will love in my lifetime.
These happy days are more precious
than anything else on this earth... we make love and make it through the night.

Eric (Narration)
Think about it girl, all those things, came to be as a great blessing... cause of you girl... my first love.

That stranger and me

http://omegle.com/

The above link, I found it while randomly surfing for assignment ideas.

It enable you to chat with a complete stranger, and the best part is, you're not going to face some cheesy nickname like LonelyBoy95 or sth. It's just between that stranger and you.

I tried it just now. It's a weird feeling. Try it yo!

Listening: Shinhwa all jibs.

p.s. My Blogger is now completely in Korean. I better not forget where everything is.

Game- Azada: Ancient Magic

It's the second part in Azada series.

Just finished it with help from creepy brother for the last 2 mini-games.

Not too bad I must say. Still the puzzling riddle-solving type.

But I'd prefer the first Azada game? It seemed so much more fun.

Or was the one I dl-ed only a trial version?

I dl-ed from here.

Book review: Dark City- Psychotic and other twisted Malaysian tales by Xeus

I borrowed the book from Uni library as soon as I finished my last exam paper today.

Not too bad a read I must say. Though sometimes the words are twisted around too much for my liking. The plots are up my alley, just plain weird. Some of the story details can be quite gory, one or two about twisted mental minds, about ghosts and there's also one about one being able to 'sense' even after death (Gosh, that guy was resting in a coffin listening to his own funeral. He will lie in the cemetery and 'talk' to his 'neighbors' when night comes. Better get cremated!)

The book also slotted in my fav author's name- Stephen King! (Blergh to Chyi Mei and her James PAtty)

12 short stories in a book. My favorite goes between 'The Six Million Dollar Man' and 'Session One' :)

Overall, I'd say the book was quite an amusing read. Oh, the stories are all set in Malaysian context, and integrated with the multi-cultural colors of the country.

Ah, there's a blog on the book too I think. Click here.

First, this personality er.. conscious and sub-conscious test reminds me of Dr. Patrick's lecture on how there's so many types of people and how you need to communicate with them when there's changes taking place.

Second, I'm thinking whether everyone will get the same answer from this thing?

Third, Hmm I don't know what to think. Maybe just post it here first then come back and reflect on it eons later.

GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Astro Talent Quest is probably the biggest event in Malaysia for 'American Idol' supporters.
In chinese language of course.

You know what, I think living in Borneo is equivalent to living in Brunei.
Because we're kinda linked around Malaysia/Borneo/Brunei.
Oops, not Indonesia.
Though I do have one or two friends from Indonesia.

Anyway, I noticed that every year, i'll see/know someone who gets into/auditions for the competition. Yeah yeah, probably because I'm Malaysian too. That gets more news coming in. (I think someone told me where Nicholas Teo lived when I was back in Kuching LOL)

THIS YEAR! It's the SPY who got into Top 20!

Congrats!

Much love and support from us here.
(since you're the only one representing E.Msia, it's fair to say that we ALL give u FULL support!)

That, plus I think you really do sing well lah hahaha

SCM aka Chyi Mei aka schyime.blogspot.com aka short dwarf aka SPY's elder sister has already posted a link on her blog (with a reason to vote) so you guys go check it out!

It's a mail day!

Yeay, loving loving receiving mail!

Especially receiving postcrossing postcards! Cause you never know where you're getting the postcard from!

Let's see, I have: 1 from Portugal, 2 from Finland, 2 from Germany. Two of the cards are cartoonish too! Ah...... I love mail!

Even better, I got a package (sent to shop address) today too!

It's a book!

Stephen King's 'Four Past midnight' that I ordered from Acmamall earlier this month.
Not too bad I must say. I paid on 10th Sept, and by 27th Sept I have the book.
Neatly packaged and delivered to my doorstep.. er.. shop's doorstep lol
I'm definitely shopping there again!

Brunei's postal services has an average delivery time of 2 weeks.
The postman comes by my house once a week (Saturday in fact)
And letters to Europe generally take 11-17 days

Johnny Depp's face on the cover too ^^

Anyhoo, today's the last day of class before mid-semester break starts
To all a happy Raya, and Mid-term hol!

It's a fake holiday week for me infact.
Still so many assignments and surveys and group work and work
A test after the week, how fake

Fake holiday I tell you.

Major activity of the day::

Happy faces when thinking about the upcoming holiday week?

I hate this guy!

Haha, I do.

He annoys the hell out of me.

On the bright side, he gives me back my reflexes after having sat on this chair for one day straight (cept for toilet breaks and the occasional stretching walk)

Why does it not work??!! Shyt shyt shyt shyt shyt

Bright idea!
Fwd it to my own email and voila!
Should have thought of this earlier, sulks.

Fyi, my lecturers love creating email accounts at Yahoo/Gmail
And upload the notes for us there.
Hmm.. where's the Financial Management notes? *CHONG!!!~~~~

Tons of work to complete. Group discussions to attend, group projects to finish
Can't believe up till now I can't remember which grp is which... cause everyone is like just going around almost the same?

Time to gear up and get started for a busy month!

I still don't know.

So there was this health check thingy at the mall yesterday. Which Chong blogged about. Basically I went everywhere with her, so her blog kinda represents my life too (Whenever I am mentioned in there).

Anyhow, this check thingy was really fast, surprisingly.

I got to know that I'm not as tall as I thought. Shorter by few cm in fact.

I got to know that I'm not as light as I thought. Heavier by few kg in fact.

I got to know my blood sugar level (5.4? 5.7), which I do not know before. I'm normal!

I got to know my cholesterol level, which is low.

I still don't know what my blood type is, which is agitating the 'curious to know' part of my brain.

I concluded after this check-up, that I needed to get on diet. And maybe get some free skipping rope from that carnival this Sunday at JP.

** Oh, Discovered this Bruneian shopping blog while browsing around. The things I find accidentally sometimes =) It's interesting, to know that there actually is a blog in Brunei selling clothes. Ok, I've underestimated the entrepreneurial ability of Bruneians.

Jewel in the eye of the beholder

Behold, the apple/jewel in my eye at the moment.

=)
=)=)
=)=)=)
=)=)=)=)
=)=)=)=)=)

A gift from my brother who just came back from Kuching. Can't wait to devour the book! After, of course, I finish everything at hand. Including my job.

Still loads of random things going around. Hmm can't quite remember what, but I know there's a lot going on. And I'm in this state of content. Guess things change a lot when one reflects.
And reflects. And reflects.

I reflect.... by holding up an imaginary mirror and stare with eyeballs for long period. Very lame pun. It's a good thing to do anyway. Life is still in its simplicity even with all the swirling around going on.

Ya think my tranquil mood might have came with all the tea I'm drinking?

.

Saturday, July 12, 2008

I I I I.... am so hungry right now. After listening to Red FM (Kuching station) and reading kennysia's blog.

Kuching FOod Festival!!

Argh. Makes me so wanna go back Kuching now. Bah next year, during the long hols, I wanna go back Kuching. Of coz, hav to arrange transport first ah. Let's see... how bout getting my bro to get driving license and getting my father to buy him a car? Nawh, he might not be in Kuching next year. Urgh. Need a new strategy. Any guys to intro me who's based in Kuching? I don't mind Long Ds HAH

All the oh-so-familiar and not-so-familiar names just makes me drool.

Nuts. Chong's nuts atm, and I'm getting a whiff of her nuttiness.

What's interesting? Nothing actually. I have some exercising plans, some DIY-ing plans, some baking plans, some money-splurging plans.

I finally decided on the HD (or is it HDD) Foo. Be happy and be wary, because from now on you're not to delete anything until I see you next Hyuk hyuk.

Oh oh oh, and meeting Liz today was good too. She's still as skinny, still as petite, still as pretty. Like her hair too. She might be thinking now: Yea Ping, you're still as crazy or sth.

Small reminder:

Some people who ordered stuff from me from this catalogue called Mi Si (Massive Lure) can from now on go to their website and look at the latest issues rather than waiting for the actual catalogue.

You can't actually order online, but you can:

  1. Get the code for stuff you want
  2. Forward the codes and payment to me
  3. I'll mail the orders.

Better if you understand chinese though, the website is in Chinese.

One more week gone! Is it now hmm.. week 27 of the year? I'm not that sure, only took a glimpse of the astoundingly huge piece of monthly calender sticking on the wall.

This month has got to be one of the 'best' month my stomach has ever known.

Lunches this week (and dinner!) are mostly made up of super fattening and 'luxurious' food. For me la, who knows some people eat abalone (balls) everyday ha?

One day I had instant microwaved mee, another, ayamku. And I think a meal to Jenny's beef noodle house. Kinda forgot what I had for either wednesday or thursday. Yesterday was a trip to Charcoals for the set lunch thingy, which is very efficiently posted up by a colleague in her blog- Food-hungry. I had the steak rice thingy.

Then today was lunch at Fusions. My first time there leh, thanks to Lina for the treat!! What I had was lamb something. Chong took pictures, she might post them up someday hah.

Somehow, people I dine with will take pictures of the food. The food feels like its 'checked' or 'processed' before being put in the mouth. It's interesting how this becomes almost a norm isn't it? Not that I'm complaining. You can still process my food, dear chong and food-hungry.

Then I'll continue to remember the various meals for this month, 4 times Excapade, once Caper's, some chicken rice, twice Four seasons rest, twice Thai food in Lemon grass, once McD, once curry fish head in Gdg, some more ayamku meals, and the takeaway Ideal lunch, not to mention all the ice creams I bought, and all the biscuits and snacks I had during office hours. Oh, and that Fetuccine Carbonara my colleague made one day too.

Not going to mention my meals in Miri (one of them had this fried fattening layers of pork, what's it called? Anyhow, it was MOST delicious)

No wonder my clothes are getting tight.

And my wallet slimming down hah. It's going to be pay day soon for me, and I expect a good meal on that day too. There's this office culture of doing that haha. A way of rewarding oneself for all the stress endured at work?

I find: That my lil bro might be watching too many cartoons. Should take him out into the nature and intro him butterflies and bees soon. It's kinda overboard when he can recite most of the lines in a cartoon episode. And not just one cartoon either. Though I do like watching cartoons with him.

Teen Titans is my fav cartoon on Tv atm =)
