Somehow I feel obliged to use something positive to mark my first post in 2010. Now I can finally end my dates with 2010 without feeling I got amnesia.
Belated, but Happy New Year nevertheless. I ushered in the new year with beloved and friends, alongside a tarmac road, having steamboat. It... should be unforgettable no?
However, the last day of 2009 was kinda marred when we passed by the scene of an unfortunate traffic accident. We were on our way to a shopping complex when we saw a colission involving a bus and 2 or 3 more cars. When we were on our home however, we saw an accident of a motorist and a saloon car. The motorist died on the spot it seems. Speculation: The motorist is on his way home (around 9 pm) from Singapore, because some other motorists behind us, believed to be his co-workers stopped by his motorcycle, as if they know him.
It's amazing what you can deduct from the mere 5 seconds that pass by while your car passes the scene of accident. Curiosity killed some cat far away, curiousity also slowed traffic of JB. It's depressing to see another life gone with just one day more till the next year. But what good is a whole year if one can't survive to see his loved ones before moving on? I'm blabbering I know.
Other than that. 2010 was ushered in at JB with traffic jams, countdowns, fireworks, holidays, tv show and steamboat. Ah, there was a floating lantern, what Chinese would call 孔明燈 , like a mini hot air balloon, floating up into the skies as soon as countdown was over. It has wishes written all over it I expect. Very romantic way to start a year. I'd think this is my first time seeing this lantern so 'up close'
Resolutions?
I want to exercise more often to shed the kgs piled on here. Gee, 4 kgs since holidays started.
I want to be able to keep my resolutions, that's what.
Few more days till I'm back in Brunei again. There's no place like home I admit, though I sure will miss the company here. It's gonna be all pen and papers in my world again. (Strange how you can't find decent pen and paper where I am now) How soon will I see these people again I do not know. Perhaps soon, perhaps not, perhaps never.
