Berakas BBQ pictures

Event: BBQ , Berakas Beach
Date: 23/05/08
Time: 8 a.m.!

Just realized I took many scenery pics and no food pics!

Top of Geoky's head

Spot the CHONG! (Hint: she's in red)

Spot the Chong again

Weird structure which I hope Schyime can explain to me

Nick Thien on the 'block'

Ain't he tiny or what?

Spot the people! Geok yi's yellow, Nick is blue and Chong is red. Too bad no green person.

Below: Some pictures of a pretty barren place that me , Geok and nick went around exploring. And damn was it steaming

This picture was taken to illustrate a faint white line on the horizon. What that mean, geographer?

Happy faces. And this is the only pic in my phone with up-close faces too

Nick the explorer! Or should I be prim and say 'Nicholas the explorer'? Sounds more.... adventurous you think?

This is a lousy shot. But it's good for a game of 'Spot the monkey'!

My poor slipper snapped! After 8 years (Approx)! Sobs

Wraps it up. Tired. Sleep.

walao. do u expect me to noe every single bit of this amazing world?

refering to ur 'block'
If my brain's telling me right, its just the most hideous sea-wall structure i have ever seen.

its not exactly a seawall but it functions similarily. Its probably the instability of the land after they have cleared out vegetation in that area and therefore, they have to erect somce concrete walls in order to minimize the erosion impact... that may in a way create landslides during heavy downpour which is very likely to happen when u live in a tropical country.

Furthermore that built up area is probably like sandy material, with large particle size thats not cohesive enough to hold land together and easily eroded.

IN general, they just erect the wall-like structure to stop landlides etc. Even though i tink it look completely stupid and should actually use other 'natural' features (rocks etc) to create the same function..

As for the white line..
I dont know really. Its a bit unclear for me too.

2 possibilities, there's some other man-made features to create the formation of this unform white line..

the other, its just wave reaction that has acted awkwardly weird cos they are not supposed to be so uniformed.

Ooh i jus tot of another possibility, Light spectrum. due to angle of the sun. ask a physcist for more info.

nice pics btw
